Kansas City is home to a vibrant and loving special needs community where families, advocates, and organizations come together to lift one another up. Our community offers countless ways to engage with its special needs community.
In Johnson County, SOAR Special Needs hosts inclusive events and respite nights. Down Syndrome Innovations provides lifelong learning and support for individuals and families.
Being part of this community is simple: attend events, volunteer your time, or just show up with compassion and encouragement. Whether you’re cheering at a sporting event, supporting a fundraiser, or attending a workshop to learn more about someone’s needs, every act of involvement strengthens the circle of love. In Kansas City, no one walks this journey alone.
